Jose Mourinho Praises Goalkeeper and Goalkeeper
Manchester United struggled to win 2-0 at Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday (5/1/2018) or Saturday early morning hrs. Manager Jose Mourinho considers the hard-earned victory to be due to the toughness of Derby keeper and goal post.
Manchester United won by Jesse Lingard (84th minute) and Romelu Lukaku (90 '). Two goals were born from 28 experiments released by Manchester United players who 10 of them on target.
Players like Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford also had plenty of chances to score, but most of the success was countered by former Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson.
Specifically Rashford's chances, besides some of them on target, there were two trials from the 20-year-old who failed to hit the post, as in the 35th and 71th minutes.
It makes Jose Mourinho say that Carson and goalposts are field stars for Derby County.
"Derby survived very well, Scott Carson played very well, so did their goalposts," Mourinho said as quoted by BBC's BolaSport.com.
"They have almost forced the repeat parties, Championship clubs have now played in the same direction as Premier League clubs, they are just playing in other competitions," he said.
In addition to praising the game Derby, Mourinho also claimed had implied in his mind that Manchester United will play a repeat party at home to Derby because of seeing the impasse experienced by the players.
"I thought we were very close to scoring and the players never stopped trying, but when the game went through 80 minutes and the goal had not come yet, I thought about the repeat party," said Mourinho.
"The goal from Jesse Lingard to the top corner was very good, he was in a good confidence where everything went well for him, he was a professional and a wonderful kid in the locker room," he said.
