365 days of steeming
Happy 1 year to jnetsworld. Reputation score from 25 - 44 in twelve months. That's respectable. Yes? I write a post or two a week; sometimes more.
I've met a couple of my followers IRL for pizza and found a couple of kin spirits that shared kind words from thousands of miles away.
Thank you @kunschj, @wfmkay, @derekrichardson. Meeting you IRL helped light my steemit path and have faith in the social media technology of blockchain and its future. It's nice to have your hellos especially when I'm sharing I'm having a tough week or a sniffle. You're like good neighbors....a click away.
@planetroq shared many of my Los Angeles adventures and took many photos by my side. She leaves LA tomorrow and embarks on a new adventure on the other coast. Thank you for being a dear friend. I will miss you.
@practicalthought wrote words of gold to encourage me when I thought I was only writing to myself. It's means a lot when someone tells you they like HOW you write and not only what. It's also nice when a bigger fish takes you aside to teach you how to swim stronger. His encouragement meant a lot to a 4 month old steemian.
I've a lot to yet learn. I survived a hardfork and adjustments. I enjoy those I've chosen to follow and love it when I discover someone's writing or art that speaks to me. I don't understand many things yet about voting power and resource credits. The SteemIt economy system is a mystery to me.
But I like writing. And I like this community.
There are other hellos that made the sun shine a little bit brighter in my world. Some simply with quiet upvotes. Thank you. You all helped me turn one today.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. And happy one year to jnetsworld.
JNET
Congrats on 1 year.
Because of your low RC power, you are being greatly hampered in the activity level you can do here. I have looked at your stats on SteemWorld:
https://steemworld.org/@jnetsworld
One of the most telling is you have earned almost nothing from curating other posts. I noticed last night you upvoted several of my posts, one of which was 12 days ago so past any chance of you gaining a curation reward. The others also will net you nothing, due to a combination of your low SP coupled with catching them after so many others already voted on them.
Sadly it takes Steem Power to make Steem Power. I am unsure what communities you may be involved with here, but if you wish to grow the accounts power you might look into ones of similar interest to you and see if you can find some allies there. Some swear by using the discord site to meet people and grow, although I have never used it myself.
The quickest way to grow is commenting on others posts, others who have stake here and are posting on topics of interest to you that you can spark interesting conversations with them. They will appreciate the interest and dialogue, and not only reward you with upvotes but possibly follow you and upvote your own posts.
It makes me smile that you are still here, and may your next year be better than the first.
Thanks. I need to comment more. (At the moment I don't have enough RC, hence this reply is delayed)
Sometimes after reading a well written and researched post, I'm at a loss for words. Some posts are enlightening yet paralyzing. The world has dark corners. I'm glad there are good people shedding a light to such places.
I care and I hope that my words are for bolstering the spirit of those fighting the good fight.
I visited Discord a few times and it was a bit overwhelming. My friend used to spend hours on Discord as well as host shows. I like using it to message a person after meeting them in person. It's a good place for private messaging. Add me when and if you ever hop on. I'm terrible at sitting still for chats. My piano is too distracting. :)
Thank you for your visit and advice. I will be a better commentor.
Yay, I'm one....a crawling rugrat.
Yes, I understand on being at a loss for words at times. I too experience that sometimes, especially once i began understanding how deep some of the dark corners go.
Reading your post, it gave me an idea. You teach piano and such. Perhaps if you were to make some how to videos on playing the piano, or videos of your playing (you could do this without videoing your face) you could find support from some of the music subs and/or curie. Just an idea, but it seems this site is built to reward us for our strengths and that is the one constant I have seen is yours.

Piano tag: https://steemit.com/trending/piano
At the very least, I would guess you would have lots of interesting conversations with others who use those tags. :)
Hello @jnetsworld! I'm glad you made it a full year! With the low price right now so many people have just given up. For me it's more about the community than the money. I'm planning to schedule some more Steemit meetups soon. I hope to see you there!!
I would love to come out. Lmk as plans develop.
Congratulations on your cake day! Keep on Steeming :-D
Thank you for sharing the special day with me!
You’re welcome. !tip
