The origins of Jews and Islam
A long long time before the Jews and Islam ever existed, there was a religion known as Zoroastrianism prevailed. They believed that there was single God and the religion was started by Zoroaster, who was a prophet and a messenger of God. During the time Hindus lived in the Indus Valley, the Egyptians lived in Egypt.
Judaism and Islam both consider Abraham as another prophet whose bloodline started the Jews bloodline. The other son of Abraham's bloodline became the people of Islam. Both religions agree of the following events of the bible until Jesus Christ was born.
The Jews believed that Jesus was a political leader who institutionalized his religion. So they don't agree with the second testament. However the Islamic community accepts Jesus was a prophet but the Torah (first testament) and the second testament was corrupted by leaders and words were changed. This event is accounted in the holy Quran. They believe Muhammad was the last prophet and God uttered Quran which was recited by Muhammad because Islam was supposed to be the ultimate religion for Earth.
Zoroastrianism now is almost a lost religion. With only a handful of people in India and Iran, the culture and religion is being lost to history. It is an irony the same religion that was the widest religion on earth is on the verge of collapse due to the institutionalization of other religions.
