Lethal jewelry of old times.
Jewelry can actually have a different symbolic use for them, unusual but historically interesting. The rings have been used for storing poisons, In Bulgaria Kaliakra peninsula a bronze ring of the 14th century has been excavated.
This specific ring has a container adapted for storing arsenic. The container could be filled with the poison, which then was poured into the glass secretly for the victim to consume it. This type of venom ( arsenic ) was in powder form and could be placed in the special case that the found ring has. The arsenic was one of the most prevalent poisons in Venice at that time, used for killings.
This discovery explains the many deaths recorded at Cape Kaliarka among aristocrats in the 14th century, and is probably related to the conflict between the local leader Ntomprotitsa and his son Terter Ivanko, who had a strong hatred for each other.
Later discoveries of lethal jewelry have led us to a different finding: The ring - revolver suggested a German designer as the ultimate weapon of the femme fatale.
The strange jewel is made of silver and the bezel has a real brass chamber which receives seven bronze cylindrical bullets. Fully functional revolver that works, accompanied by a retro box with bullets and tools. The ring has been sold for $ 11.350. It is not clear whether this object requires a firearms permit.
Would you use a small revolver ring?
