Peridot August Birthstone

Good morning Steemit Community! Happy Tuesday!! It's a new month new Birthstone! August birthstone is the beautiful Peridot! Peridot is also called Chrysolite or more commonly know as Olivine, Peridot has been a know stone since antiquity. Peridots are mined in a variety of places around the world including Sri Lanka, South Africa, Arizona and Mexico. Peridots come in a large variety of different shades of green from very light neon green to a darker almost emerald colored green. Peridot happens to be one of my favorite stone and look amazing when set in yellow gold jewelry. The pictures below are of one of my favorite pieces of jewelry and they do not do this beautiful piece justice!
