Make Jesus Famous

About 10 years ago, there was this missionary who visited my church before. As far as I can remember, her name is Anna (can't remember her last name though). She's a Filipino missionary who originally came from Angeles, Pampanga and was invited to preach to my church back then. And so that Sunday morning, she requested the volunteers of our music ministry (including me) to line up in front for her to speak blessing to each one. And I will never forget this one line that she said to me.

"You will speak in front of a crowd."

That was years ago, and I was too young to take that word in. During that time, I was so shy and reserved, and I'm not even that serious in the ministry. In my head, I was asking God, "How would I do that? What will I speak to that crowd that she's talking about? Why me? There's no way I could do that". I was never good at public speaking. You can make me play the guitar or sing on stage but you can't force me to speak in front of a crowd. Those people who knows me could attest to that. But now my friends, I can testify that the Father's unending and unconditional love is more than able to turn a life upside-down.

Since then, I could feel how God has been working on my life to prepare me for that day. He allowed different levels of challenges to attack me but He has pre-equipped me with His Word from the very start. His promises became my lifeblood. And now, I have learned so much that out of the overflow, I am so eager to share God's greatness in my life to my generation and to the generations to come.

I encourage you young people to also have the desire to know Jesus more and more. You will not be able to testify something you've never known or experienced before. Let your knowledge of Him grow and let the fruits be evident. Don't hide it. Let your light shine! Go back to your first love if you feel like you've lost it. Please. Before it's too late. Remind yourself of how you've fallen in love to Jesus for the very first time. And you could also share your story to others. You never know. Your story could ignite ten, or a hundred, or even a thousand stories more. :)
