It is believed that on this day water becomes holy and is able to wash away sins and diseases.
Some people keep water for a year - until the next Baptism day.
Some people believe that taking a shower or bath, can help, because all water is Holy on this day.
Absolutely beautiful. The human body is amazing. It can withstand so many things, even extreme cold. The scenery you captured speaks volumes. I have seen examples of The Polar Bear club on television and the internet before, but this is the first cross shaped hole I've seen. I love the pictures you've added and the architecture. I believe this is not just restricted to one sacred day...every single day when we have access to clean water, we blessed beyond measure for without it we would simply die!
