Where Did The Haunting Evaporate To?
Preamble

There are three whales I attempt to attract their attention in vain. My attempt is like playing a guitar to a goat. The goat never appreciates the music. There is @jerrybanfield. Many stemians put in a good word for him but we have never rubbed shoulders.
@penguinpablo is another. I did two posts on sites he runs; yet he never noticed. Lastly, there is @teamsteem.
@purpledaisy57 wrote a post as an entrant in @jerrybanfield's contest #suoernatural #writing #contest. I noticed the post and here I submit mine.
We See And Hear From A Ghost

There was this abandoned garden near my home. The garden had some ruins in them but it was a no gone zone to the people of my community.
The garden was pregnant with succulant mouth watering fruits, yet none of us children used to go and pluck them, naughty as we were. However hard the fruits beckoned us is the more we dreamt about them. The fruits became part of our conversation.
One night, however, we could not resist the urge any longer. Using the light from the moon and attempted to climb the trees.
What happened next was what I find hard to understand. We saw what looked like an apparitiin of a human being. She was all afire with blinding light. A guttural voice that sounded metallic came from the apparition.
"Never ever disturb my peace. This land is mine and I do not want anybody in. Go." It spoke with finality.
We scampered in all directions with the speed of wind. I only settled in the safety of our house. That day I never took supper but trembled the whole night. I expected the weird being to come for me.
Very many people in the community had their own tale of the bush too. It there remained there with its fruits and ruins. Nobody entered in that enchanted bush.
Origin Of The Ghost

A story is told of a man who once lived in the ruins. His name was Mudidi. This man had a brother who was called Chunguli. Chunguli worked in the army. As you know, the soldiers in the army are given clothes and often feed in the mess. Chunguli saved all his earnings and gave them to Mudidi.
One day when he was on leave, Chunguli went to Mudidi's home to get some money. He wanted to feed his wife whi had given birth to a bouncing baby boy. Mudidi refused him any money. Chunguli went home a bitter money with empty hands.
The legend goes that he bought paraffin which he poured around the brither's house at night. He set the house on fire and waited at the door withba sharp knife to cut down any person who escaped.
Mudidi's wife who was heavy attempted to escape. Chunguli cut her into two and went further to cut into pieces, the twins who were in the womb. The rest of the family roasted in the fire like the famous berbecue.
Mudidi was not at home during this saga. When Chunguli attempted to go and finish him up, that is when he was arrested. Mudidi used to operate a hotel at Mbale, the nearest town.
Aftermath
Later, this land was bought by a public developer. The developer has built up a big school and children are learning there. There is no case of haunting that happens there.
My question is what really happened. Was the ghost stories a fantasy of our minds? How come two or more people actually saw and heard the voices?
