Attacked by a tree (SWC)

Now to get to my room, I had to walk by the local cemetery, nothing scary about this it is well illuminated and a very heavy traffic street is right by it so there are people nearby all the time, but it had a wall about 5 feet high and it was about 300 meters long with different kinds of trees planted all along the inside of the cemetery. One day as I was walking home, I was all of a sudden hit on the head by a branch (I am bald so it hurt but I wasn’t wounded), I just thought I hadn’t seen the branch and walked into it, which with hindsight was kind of dumb because no single branch on that tree was less than 10 feet from the ground.

Anyway I didn’t think any more about this until about a couple of months later, I passed near the wall and I was again smacked on the head by a branch of the same tree. Again there was no wind, and again I wasn’t wounded. Now I was starting to feel kind of funny about this so I was kind of wary when I got near the tree, but as usual one day I forgot about this and again walked near it and I was again smacked on the head, again there was no wind and I wasn’t wounded either.

Well after this third event happened what I would do is walk on the street, which is a wide paved avenue, and stay clear from that tree. This was good for a few months but close to the end of the year 2005 I was walking home and there was a light drizzle, I was just shielding myself from this rain and forgot about the tree. Sure enough I saw when that branch just came out of nowhere and smacked me real hard on the head, this time it knocked me down, and opened a gash on my head, I actually think I heard that tree laugh. I must have been a frightening sight because I went to my room walking with blood coming out of that gash and the rain washing it down all over my face.

Luckily the wound wasn’t deep and I just washed it, put some medicine on it and I thought that was the end of that wound. But apparently something went wrong because it has never healed properly and I always have a scab on the top of my head, I peel it away put medicine on it but it always shows up again. I think it is just there to remind me of that tree and also to have a healthy respect for natural things.

Well that was the last time I went near that tree, soon afterwards I moved in with my wife and had no reason to even walk by that place, and anyway eventually the city made an 8 foot wall around the cemetery, painted murals on the outside wall and decided they didn't need any trees on that side of the cemetery so they chopped that tree down so I was good after that.

I really think that tree was out to hurt me, the last time I got hit by it I could feel some force out there trying to get me and frankly I don’t know what it was. Was this really a supernatural event? I really don’t know. I seriously think it was because I can find no reasonable explanation for it, I know of nobody here who has ever been smacked repeatedly by the same tree, and yet that tree hit me four times. OK, perhaps you can say there is some sort of normal explanation for this event, all I can say is I think I was actually attacked by a tree which was somehow very angry and targeted me to take his frustrations out on, I don’t have a clue why because I have never been one to hurt any living thing willingly, so maybe it just targeted me randomly.

In fact the only similar thing I have ever heard about something like this is in the Harry Potter fantasy about the tree that attacks them outside of their school, well that is about what happened to me, perhaps there is some sort of magic in natural living creatures, be they animal, plant or mineral. I was not really frightened by this, growing up I was a real coward afraid of everything, but I grew out of that so fear is not a factor here.
