This jellyfish species is classified in sub phylum Medusozoa, this bell can be throttled to get propulsion and locomotion. It is a gelatinous umbrella-shaped bell and trailing traps.

It is a jellyfish or jelly soft bodied free-swimming aquatic animal. However, although all Medusozoa species are not jellyfish, this is an important part of the phylum cnidarians.
