The Toilet Ring lifted Jeep!
The Toilet Ring 3" lift jeep
So this all started ou with my ol' jeep needed a new set of rubber for the British Columbia roads... So i take a gander at the markeys and the factory size of tires would have costed way to much.. Around 750$ new and 350 used without installation. So fuck that noise i had a budget of 100$ XD i am a cheap guy when fixing my own vehicles not clients lmao. So this all tranpired in less then 2 weeks after my initial search.
So i waited it out, turns out my dad had these rims from a previous tenant who rented his place. Knowing im a redneck car guy he gives me these 20" rims that just so happened to fit my ol' jeep. But sadly the tires were all showing the cords somewhere. So the lo pros had to go also for the reason like hellim gonna be a little bitch riding on low profile tires..
Later that week i decided 31" tires were a must if i was droppin a couple bills on tires. So grabbed a 6 pack an pusuited a grand quest for mudders under 100$.... Sure as shit i found a guy with four 35x12.50x20 tires and the guy wanted a 15 Pack O Bur so i sent her hard to the beer store and gave her right to grab these tires. So far my investment is 35$. Secured them abd started dreweling
But soon realized the wered just gonna bolt onto the jeep and send her. So a lift was needed to gain clearences to not just fit but allow me to turn more that 1/8th either way lmao!
So in search of alift kit i was and then stopped once the cheapest lift i could find was 1.75" for 250$. But while shopping i took a glance at the actual product and realized the lift kit looked like a fucking ABS 4" to 3" toiket flange so my curious mind was like fuck leys just send it and see what goes..
At the local hardware store the employees were concerened how i was holding this automotive coil spring to ABS plumbing flanges. Lmao lets just say some asked if i needed help lmao.. But doing logical research behind my theorey is that these flanges are thicker and pressed at HIGHER ratings than the original lift kit is even rated for also using tue flanges i gey 2.4 inches of lift for 40$. So i bough some grinding disks for 8$ total cost. Decided i was ready for this task...
24 hrs later alot of blood from cutting fender and intoxicated use of power tools, hammering and major questioning if this would even work we just said keeogoing till it doesnt work out.. Beluve it or not it went awesome and easily cut out fender install flanges ontop of spring rebolt and then lower t case mount 1.25 inches for drive line angle correction.
The total investment for the Lift, Tires, & Rims was 110$ and she a minty ride cant wait to just send her in some mud!
