The Story behind Casa Chiesi Italian Lifestyle Blog

Having just joined Steemit this week I thought it would be interesting to explain a bit of what our Italian Lifestyle Blog (http://www.casachiesi.com) is about and how it all came about back in August of 2015.
About 7 years ago my wife decided to write a book that related stories and recipes revolving around her sense and love towards Italy. This is obviously coming from the heart of the women I married back on an empty beach in South Beach 25 years ago. Here is a video that immortalized that wonderful evening:

After giving Miami Beach a try (my wife is a make-up artist and here world was more Europe concentric) I decided to take the plunge and jump across the pond with a major move to that famous fashion capital of the world called Milan. In Italy…which as a teenager was one of my wildlife dream destinations to live at.

It was a bit hard leaving behind my friends and successful career at one of Miami’s top-notch Architectural firms at the time but such is the nature of love, that wonderful feeling that sweeps you up off your feet and makes you irrational and senseless (but happy which is what counts in life…no?)

after visiting tons of editors both in the USA and Europe and having them say “love the stories and recipes but you are not a famous personality” we decided to self-publish ). And boy are we happy we did. Nothing better than building something out of passion and love and bring it to market!

So after the launch of the book, we looked at each other in the eye and acknowledging our love for all things Italy related we decided to launch Casa Chiesi (http://www.casachiesi.com) a name that derives from the meaning of home in Italian and my wife's last name which is Chiesi - not cheesy.

Of course, live streaming was just starting to be mentioned so we decided to jump on the bandwagon and offer a combination of live interviews with folks about their love and experience with Italy. To make matters complex we decided to do a live outdoor mobile presentation of the famous Milan Duomo which is the cathedral in Milan's main piazza and the highlight of this city which I now call home.

To conclude the love that we put into the content over at Casa Chiesi is a labor of love from two persons that found each other at a party in Miami Beach and never looked back. It also complements our lives and has introduced us to a whole new world of friends and virtual visitors which have enhanced our lively way of Casa Chiesi.
