[Phosphophillyte - Houseki no Kuni] - Inking process
This is the new video that I uploaded also on my Toutube channel "annaversus".
This is the lineart for the fan art I'm making of Phosphophillyte, the protagonist of the anime and manga Houseki no Kuni.
I love this series, the character design of the gems is lovely and the story has plot twists.
STORY
The story is set in a far future where humanity went extinct after the Earth was hitten 6 times by asteroids. As a consequence, 5 new moons born and on Earth only an isle remained surrounded by ocean.
After some centuries, gemstones with human form started to appear and are now led by their sensei (teacher in japanese).
But life for the gems it's not easy, moon people try to kidnap them to create jewels.
In this scenario we follow the life of Phos, the youguest and low hardness gem, who wants to change and become stronger to be helpfull.
WHY I LIKE IT
As I said before, I like how the story is developping and the character design. Each gemstone has her personality and aspect.
Phos changes a lot during the story, questioning her choise to become stronger looking all she is causing and how the attitude of her siblings changes towards her.
I suggest to watch the anime to get an idea of this series, it's just 12 episodes and has a lovely CGI.

Ecco il nuovo video che ho caricato da poco sul mio canale Youtube "annaversus".
É la lineart per la fan art che sto realizzando di Phosphophillyte, la protagonista di Houseki no Kuni.
Adoro questa serie, la trama è ricca di colpi di scena e il design dei personaggi è particolare.
TRAMA
La storia si svolge in un futuro lontano dove l'umanità si è estinta dopo che la Terra fu colpita per la sesta volta dagli asteroidi. Come conseguenza nacquero altre 5 lune e della Terra è rimasta solo una isoletta in mezzo all'oceano.
Secoli dopo iniziarono ad apparire le prime gemme in forma umana guidate dal loro sensei (maestro in giapponese).
Ma la vita per le gemme non è facile, gli abitanti della luna le rapiscono per farsi dei gioielli si crede.
In questo scenario seguiamo la vita di Phos, la più giovane delle gemme con scarsa durezza, che cerca di cambiare e diventare più forte per essere utile.
PERCHÉ MI PIACE
Come ho detto prima, mi piace come si sta sviluppando la storia e il design dei personaggi. Ogni gemma ha la sua personalità e il suo aspetto.
Phos cambia molto nella serie, chiedendosi se la sua scelta di trasformarsi sia lecita vedendo come l'atteggiamento che hanno i suoi fratelli muti man mano che diventa più forte.
Vi consiglio di vedervi almeno l'anime, su Vvvid lo trovate sottotitolato in italiano. Sono solo 12 episodi e la CGI è fatta anche bene rispetto ad altri anime che la usano. -
