The most frequent mistake made by beginners is to try to play fast too soon.
The biggest problem is that you might not realize that your speed has increased before you have completely learned an exercise or a riff.
A good example for budding guitarists is Steve Vai; he has acquired his exceptional guitar skills by studying ten hours a day.
Of course, not everyone has this time available in their lives, but by exploiting every minute available for study, we can achieve satisfactory results.

It is always advisable to study in time by helping yourself with a metronome and, before increasing the speed of the exercise, have complete mastery of it.
Gradually increasing the speed, you will play "with feeling" as Steve Vai claims. Without an approach of this type of study, your musical path may be uneven.

Another effective way to learn to play in time is to play following the base of a recorded song or to create a musical backing of your own using appropriate software. Remember that musicians never play mechanically but instead play with continuous changes over time, thus creating a sound atmosphere.
The drummer and the bass player are the members of the group who give the regular rhythm to the music which is then followed by the rest of the group.

Practicing with a drummer, the guitarist learns to play by following the rhythm and / or cadence of another musician. The atmosphere is the characteristic that distinguishes great musicians from others.

Sviluppiamo il senso del tempo

L' errore più frequente commesso dai principianti e quello di cercare di suonare velocemente troppo presto.
Il problema maggiore è che potreste non rendervi conto che la vostra velocità è aumentata prima di aver imparato completamente un esercizio od un riff.
Un valido esempio per i chitarristi in erba, è Steve Vai; egli ha acquisito la sua eccezionale abilità sulla chitarra studiando dieci ore al giorno.
Certo, non tutti hanno questo tempo a disposizione nelle propria vita ma sfruttando ogni minuto disponibile allo studio, possiamo arrivare a risultati soddisfacenti.

E' sempre raccomandabile di studiare a tempo aiutandovi con un metronomo e, prima di aumentare la velocità dell'esercizio, avere la totale padronanza di esso.
Aumentando gradualmente la velocità, suonerete "con sentimento" come sostiene Steve Vai. Senza un approccio di questo tipo di studio,il vostro percorso musicale, potrebbe risultare irregolare.

Un altro metodo efficace per imparare a suonare a tempo, è quello di suonare seguendo la base di un brano registrato o di creare una base musicale propria utilizzando appositi software. Ricordate che i musicisti non suonano mai in modo meccanico ma suonano invece con continue variazioni su un tempo, creando così atmosfera sonora.
Il batterista ed il bassista sono i componenti del gruppo che danno il ritmo regolare alla musica che viene poi seguito dal resto del gruppo.

Esercitandosi con un batterista, il chitarrista impara a suonare seguendo il ritmo e/o la cadenza di un altro musicista. L'atmosfera è la caratteristica che contraddistingue i grandi musicisti dagli altri.
