Hi Steemians!

After a long period of absence, I am here again to write you an article that I hope you can find interesting.
Punctual as every year the carnival arrives and the undersigned that as you well know is part of the historical group of Fenis participated in the carnival of Savona that this year took place on January 21st.

Glimpse of Savona

For those who do not know and I hope that the people of Savona can forgive me if I'm wrong or forget something, the mask of Savona is Cicciulin that represents a rather gruff sailor, but basically with good heart, the colors that distinguish his costume are the blue, the brown and the green of his necklaces, the striped shirt, the cloak and the red hat. The lord of the carnival arrives with a sailing ship in front of the Torretta ladder this is the name that people gives to that tower, but the real name is Torre Leon Pancaldo and in a parade with all the historical groups present we arrive at the Municipal House where the mayor hands over the keys to His Majesty Cicciulin and officially starts carnival.

We are waiting for the beginning of the parade :) I am the one on the left!

This year is the third one that I participate in this carnival and for the first time we have found good weather! In fact, to be January there were 20 degrees! The organizers are always very kind, welcome us warmly and thank us to participate in their carnival, which is not obvious given that we come from the Valle d'Aosta that is not near Savona! On the other hand one of the most beautiful and enjoyable aspect of being part of a historical group is just to travel and meet up with old friends.

Ciao Steemians!

Dopo un lunghissimo periodo di assenza, sono di nuovo qui a scrivervi un articolo che spero possiate trovare interessante.
Puntuale come ogni anno arriva il carnevale e la sottoscritta che come sapete bene fa parte del gruppo storico di Fenis ha partecipato al carnevale di Savona che si è svolto il 21 gennaio.

Scorcio di Savona

Per chi non lo sapesse e spero che i savonesi mi possano perdonare nel caso sbagliassi o dimenticassi qualcosa, la maschera di Savona è Cicciulin che rappresenta un marinaio piuttosto burbero, ma in fondo dotato di buon cuore, i colori che contraddistinguono il suo costume sono il blu, il marrone e il verde delle sue collane, la maglia a righe, il mantello ed il cappello rosso. Il signore del carnevale arriva con un veliero davanti alla scaletta della Torretta (al secolo Torre Leon Pancaldo) e in sfilata con tutti i gruppi storici presenti si arriva alla Casa Comunale dove il sindaco consegna le chiavi a Sua Maestà Cicciulin e si da ufficialmente inizio al carnevale.

Quest'anno è il terzo anno che partecipo a questo carnevale e per la prima volta abbiamo trovato bel tempo! Infatti per essere gennaio c'erano ben 20 gradi! Gli organizzatori sono sempre molto gentili, ci accolgono con calore e ci ringraziano per la partecipazione al loro carnevale, cosa non scontata visto che proveniamo dalla Valle d'Aosta che non è proprio dietro l'angolo! D'altronde uno degli aspetti più belli e divertenti di fare parte di un gruppo storico è proprio quello di girare e ritrovarsi con vecchi amici.
Spero con questo articolo di avervi fatto assaporare un pò di atmosfera carnevalesca, ci vediamo al prossimo post!
