Hi dear friends!
Today I want to talk to you about the charcoal technique.
We have different types of charcoal, it exist as a pencil, and it' s pressed charcoal, and as simple burnt sprig.
We can create many different effects with this technique and is ideal for quick drawings as well as for detailed works.
The first way to use charcoal is to make a bit of pression.

IL CARBONCINO E LA FUSAGGINE

Ciao cari amici!
Oggi voglio parlarvi della tecnica del carboncino e della fusaggine.
La differenza tra uno e l’altro è che il carboncino lo troviamo sottoforma di matita, che è carbone pressato, mentre la fusaggine sottoforma di rametto bruciato, come il carbone del camino.
Possiamo ottenere molti effetti diversi con questa tecnica ed è ideale sia per i disegni veloci che per delle opere dettagliate.
Il primo modo di utilizzare il carboncino e la fusaggine è quello calcato.

Another way is to shade it, and make the lights with a special rubber.

Un altro è di sfumarlo, e ritirare fuori le luci con la gomma pane.

Questa è la gomma pane.

We can use the charcoal in an inclined way.

Possiamo usarlo in modo inclinato.

Or working with lines.

Oppure a tratteggio, lavorando sulla linea.

It is also possible to dilute it with water.

Ed è anche possibile diluirlo con l‘ acqua.

If you are not yet satisfied, I can propose the frottage, which is when paper is over something in relief.

Se non siete ancora soddisfatti posso proporvi il frottage, che si ottiene sovrapponendo la carta a qualcosa in rilievo.

And finally, you can once again see the techniques applied in different ways.
