Three crew members in ISRO's 'Gaganayan' mission will spend 5-7 days in space
Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Sivan said on Tuesday that there will be three crew members in the proposed 'Gaganayan' mission to send humans to space, who will be in space for five-seven days. On this occasion of Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced in his address that India would send an Indian expatriate in space by 2022.
After America, Russia and China, India will be the fourth country to send people to space. Siwan said that after the start of the mission, it will reach the classroom in 16 minutes. While returning to Earth, the crew could land in the Arabian Sea or the Bay of Bengal near the Gujarat coast or even land. Addressing the Press Conference, Sivan said that this mission can be embodied six months before India celebrates its 75th Independence Day.
