Did Israel know about the attack in advance?
One of the allegations that the old school, right-wing anti-semits have been making (I'm sure it's coming from the left, too.), is that Israel knew about the October 7th attack, and either did nothing about it or even welcomed it.
Well, just like the 9-11 truth bullshit, I believe that some intel about the attack ended up on somebody's desk at some time before the attack happened; but, it's a special kind of lunacy to equate that to some conspiracy.
It's not even a debate about whether one should attribute these failures to malice or stupidity. Hell, the Mossad is probably a far more competent agency than the CIA. Still, there's a critical mass of attack plots that people can digest.
It was far more plausible that the US government just fucked up, and wasn't properly equipped to stop 9-11 than it was an inside job. The people claiming that 9-11 was an inside job have rightly, mostly been relegated to the fringes. And we're a country that has oceans to the East and west, and friends to the North and South. Israel is a much smaller country with a much tighter budget, and her least threatening neighbor is Egypt.
Sure, if any of these people can show me evidence that Netanyahu willfully disregarded intel about the attack while knowing how devastating it would be, I'll change my tune. Still, with the lack of evidence that we have right now, and the leaps that people like Candace Owens are making, the anti-semitism is pretty clear.
