Well that sucked...

Irma came and went, and though many have it worse, we were without power/hot water/etc for almost 5 days. I can hack it, easy, but my wife and kids have never gone that long, so tensions have been running high. Woof. Our thoughts are with those who are still powerless and hope you find some peace among the flotsam.

Adding onto the pile of difficulties, a friend was arrested and their dog was dropped off at my house by animal control, Now, I love dogs, so it was not even a question of taking the poor thing in, but I already have a dog, and my dog is stupid. Not in the way of actually being incapable of thought/reason/etc., but in that he is not very good with other dogs. His actions are not ideal. It is probably not fair to say he is "stupid", but it works in context. The occasional "scuffle" makes a stressful situation more stressful. We're holding it together. Well, they are, I'm losin' it.
