Also if you are into the macabre there are mummified remains to see in the St Michens Church, then have a whiskey at Jameson distillery /museum in Smithfield - opposite Guiness! There is also Kilmainham Prison which is great if you get a guide who ll tell you the ghost stories along with the history (ask). And there is the very beautiful Kilmainham Art Gallery opposite ( watch video of Sinead o Connor's Nothing Compares To You to see some of the gardens). There is a lovely restaurant called Union 8 nearby for some food. Anyway i am from West Cork so if you are heading there let me know!
