IPLAY CONTEST: ONCE BITTEN, TWICE SHY

Raised by a single mum, Jude was a comely boy, full of joy and goodness, he studied hard and became the best in his class always.
One fine day as he got to school, he heard the principal announce.....

Principal: Attention all students! There is an open scholarship to all grade 9 students to compete for the grand prize of £100 and to study in Stamford university all expense paid.

Jude is a grade 9 pupil...he leaped for joy...

In the class

Teacher: we all got the information from the principal...to be chosen, you will write an essay of not less than 400 words on your future career and why you chose that path.

Students discussing among themselves, then came Anakin to jude

Anakin: hi jude, guess you know what to write already..

Jude: i guess so...

Anakin: Can you tutor me? You know my writing skill is poor...

Jude: alright, i can do that. What are friends for...

Anakin: or better, when you are done writing yours, i can use it as a guide for mine. What do you think?

Jude: much more better..

After school, Jude got home and told his Mom about the scholarship and essay and asked for her assistance.
The next day at school

Teacher: lest i forget, concerning the essay, all entries should be submitted on or before friday for screening.

Kendra: what a short time to prepare, can't it be taken further?

Teacher: Friday it is, say no more.

Anakin: Jude, can you write yours before Wednesday so i can have time for mine?

Jude: oooh, i'm done with it, have it.

Anakin: wooww , you are always ready, thanks i won't forget this.

It was Thursday already

Jude: Anakin, can i have my essay now?, i have to write it in a plane paper to make it more presentable.

Anakin: ouch!!! I forgot it at home. You see, i was busy writing all night, i didn't remember to pack it all.

Jude: I'm doomed, can you bring it to my house after school?

Anakin: sure, i will.

Jude waited and waited, then he went to Anakin's house, but couldn't find him.
The next day at school (Friday)

Teacher: Bring forth your essays

Jude: excuse me ma, i gave Anakin mine but he is yet to give it back.

Teacher: well, lets hope he brings it before the close of the day.

Jude(furious): where is my essay?

Anakin: sorry Jude, i lost it.

Jude (crying) : what? You mean i will loose this one chance to fulfill my dreams....

Anakin : I'm really sorry.

Jude lost his chance of getting a scholarship.....Weeks past and Jude forgave Anakin , and they were friends again

Teacher: For your exams, submit a summary of your Biology text.

Anakin: Jude, i can't find my Biology text, please lend me yours to make a copy.

Jude(thought back): Sorry, I can't.

Anakin: it won't take more than five minutes.

Jude: i know, i just can't let it out of my sight.
