IPLAY CHALLENGE WEEK 4: THE COST OF FAME

Kira and Jasmine are the best of friends in weathill junior high, they have been friends since thier childhood. They wear same kind of clothings, same hairdos and shoes, they also mingle with like-minded people. They were brilliant and always enjoyed reading...these made people classify them as the nerds.

Kira.. i don't mind if i am tagged a nerd, i always want to be the best.

Jasmine... You are the best. And the most beautiful too.

Kira.. thanks jasmine, you are the best.

The girls always studied and came out the best in thier classes. Soon they were in highschool.

Kira... Jasmine, who is that beautiful girl standing on the hallway?

Jasmine...that is Alice, a cheerleader for the whales

Kira..woow, i love her charisma, i will want to be like that someday..see how everyone adores her.

Jasmine..she looks lovely, now hurry up, we gat chemistry

After classes, the girls went for lunch, the cheerleaders had thier own table, so also the whales(football club). The whales would only interact with the cheerleaders...Alice was the one everyother cheerleader looked up to. Alice walked up to kira and Jasmine

Alice..hello girls..

Kira ...hello, i love your hair

Jasmine...hello

Alice..., thank you..my name is alice, i lead the whale cheerleaders, tryouts will begin tomorrow, 10am..i would want you girls to give it a try.

Kira....how lovely, I'm kira and im in.

Jasmine... I'm Jasmine, i will adjust my schedule to fit in

Alice.,., thanks girls i will see you tomorrow.

She walks out, kira leaped for joy

Kira... Jasmine, i am so happy

After the tryouts, the girls were selected.....Alice soon graduated,, and a new leader was needed. The cheerleaders casted thier votes to choose between Kira and Jasmine since they were the best in gymnastics. The girls were asked to each perform a series of task in other for a leader to be selected.

The last of the tasks was a written speech by each candidate.

Jasmine....Kira these tasks has made us grown apart, we do things to be better than each other now. I dont like it . I want our friendship back.

Kira(angry)....you are only saying this because you know i will win..i am better than you, you are just too scared to admit it. I have always wanted to be the centre of attention but you always take that from me. I will be the hottest and smartest girl this time.

Jasmine was sad, these weren't her intentions, she sincerely loved her friend and wanted the beat for her.
She went home and prepared her speech. Kira on the other hand went about saying all sort of ill words against Jasmine to make the squad dispise her.

It was the presentation day, Jasmine went about her classes, Kira being Jasmine's best friend went to Jasmine's locker , took out her speech and dropped it in the trash.

Jasmine...i remember dropping it in my locker...ooh where is it?

James... Jasmine its time

Jasmine.. I can't find my speech

James ....if you dont get it , you would be disqualified.

Jasmine didn't bother looking for the speech, she knew it was kira..Kira won and became the leader.
Jasmine quitted cheerleading. Kira regretted her actions but thier friendship couldn't be restored. The fame she seeked wasn't worth it afterall....
