Season Opener: KKR vs. RCB

In the inaugural match on March 22, RCB showcased a dominant performance, securing a seven-wicket victory over KKR. Chasing a target of 175 runs, RCB’s innings were anchored by stellar performances from Virat Kohli, who remained unbeaten with 59 runs, and Phil Salt, who contributed a rapid 56. Their efforts ensured RCB reached the target comfortably in 16.2 overs. Earlier, KKR’s captain, Ajinkya Rahane, led from the front with a brisk 56, supported by Sunil Narine’s 44, guiding KKR to a total of 174-8. However, RCB’s bowlers, particularly Krunal Pandya with figures of 3-29, effectively curtailed KKR’s momentum.
