Apple Unleashes The World's First Smartphone With A '3 Nm' Processor

Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) just-announced iPhone 15 Pro will be the first smartphone to use Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSM, "TSMC") N3 process, often referred to as “3 nm.” The new process enables a host of new features for iPhone, including a more powerful graphics section with hardware accelerated ray tracing, and an AI accelerator that is twice as fast as the previous iPhone Pro generation. Although Apple won’t be able to keep N3 all to itself, for now iPhone has leapt ahead of the competition in almost every category.
