Anyone know how and when we can invest in the IPFS ICO? I see IPFS everywhere but have no idea how to buy filecoin.

Actually, it is not a proof of concept. They had their ICO on 6/6. If you had a million dollars you could buy. You'll have to wait until it's available on Kraken or another exchange.
Are you sure they had ICO on 6/6? As I can see from their website, it seems that the pre sale has NOT been held yet.

Filecoin is currently just a proof of concept,
the main developement is going into the different ipfs implementations (go.ipfs, js-ipfs, pythong-ipfs) and the interplanetary linked data (ipld) https://github.com/ipld/specs .
This all should hopefully replace http soon . No plan to monetise yet i think, so there is no ICO which could destroy that great community, which already built around this great project.
