Beglinger joins IOTA - Swiss professional brings major know-how to the project

-Nick Beglinger is a Swiss economist (LSE). In 2008 he co-founded the Cleantech21 foundation and since acted as CEO. His professional focus area is sustainable development at the crossroads of finance, innovation, and regulation. He addresses competitiveness issues in the light of Paris-compatible development, and in particular carbon pricing. Between 2009 and 2016, Nick acted as president of Switzerland’s first green business association, swisscleantech, and thereby influenced the country’s climate, energy, and mobility policy. At COP22 in Marrakesh, Nick initiated the Climate Ledger Initiative (CLI) bringing blockchain technology to UNFCCC, and the Hack4Climate at COP23 in Bonn. He serves on the board of the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation, and he is part of WWF’s Leaders for Nature-

-Nick started his career with McKinsey in Germany. He worked in China, Vietnam, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. Prior to C21, Nick headed a 3-year engagement with the Government of Abu Dhabi for the Masdar Project. He was in charge of many advisory engagements with public and private clients in the field of economic and urban planning-
