The way I assess the situation for myself (and this is by no means investment advice) is to look at the current marketcap.
At the moment STEEM's marketcap is around $20m. Could it be $200m in two years time? It's not inconceivable. A couple things I bear would bear in mind is:-
if I was planning to 'cash out' in 2 years time or at a certain price, I'd need Steem to hold tgat good price for 2 further years to realise the full benefit.
I can increase my return substantially by taking a few minutes a day to curate/ vote and/ or write some quality posts occasionally. I lose nothing, but a bit of time. I'm also keeping myself appraised of the success or otherwise of my investment.
This is the million dollar question!

Just some thoughts...
Maybe. There is no guarantee it will be worth anything in two years. Your basically rolling the dice and hoping for a good result.
You have some options to contribute....
1.Curate content (vote)
2.Post content
3.Produce blocks
4.Give liquidity
that way you didn't just roll the dice...
you create your own luck!
