How to Get Rich for a Lifetime! Post #1
Getting rich is not to difficult, especially during this crypto craze, when assets rise in price quickly.
You work hard for your money and you should enjoy the fruits of your labor and enjoy your life.
The key to getting rich is to have a longterm 'Saving' strategy. Save any portion of your income and invest it. Then your money begins working with you. Two working for you is better than just you working for you.
Saving is a psychological game. As your money grows you begin thinking, "I'm Rich!" and then you spend it.
Divide your savings into 2 parts:
1.) The amount you deposit is called the 'Principal'.
2.) The amount that your principal earns is called the 'Interest'.
The key to Saving is to never spend the principal amount. You need to make a rule and stick to this rule: Your principal is NEVER available to spend. It's savings!
The problem with straight saving is that it is boring. At some point, you will cave in and spend some. Your money works hard for you also, and you should enjoy the fruits of your savings as well. In the beginning of your saving, you don't want to spend your savings, and you shouldn't want to spend it either, because you want MONEY!
Your nest egg will begin to swell. At some point you will want to enjoy your wealth. This is when this strategy comes into play.
The Shirt & Tie Allocation Strategy
1.) Invest an amount as Principal into an asset that grows.
2.) Take any growth in that asset and label it Interest.
3a.) Take a portion of your interest and add it back to your Principal amount. Keep a record of your Principal amount and NEVER spend it.
3b.) Take a portion of your Interest and enjoy the benefits of your Saving's growth. (Wait until your interest is valuable.)
The reason you separate the Principal and Interest is, because our psychology says we have money and let's spend it. If you separate the interest into another account and only spend a portion of the interest your savings will always grow.
Next, we can talk about diversification.
