Daily Dividend Portfolio : 1st Dividend Has Come!
Date Initiated and Funded : February 20, 2018 $350
Premise: This is an experimental portfolio that consists of 40 monthly dividend paying stocks. This would result in 40 dividends per month or just over 1 dividend per day. Hence the name of the experiment "daily dividends." I would like to see if I can accelerate returns faster even if the stock itself does not appreciate all that much.
The first dividend has come!!!
The dividend was actually 13 cents/share, but I only own a fractional share (for now!).
For those who are new to M1 Finance, you cannot reinvest dividends unless they total $10 or the total amount of free cash is $10. This is not a big deal however, as I plan to continually fund this experiment through Mechanical Turk!
Here's to the first of MANY dividends this portfolio will be seeing.
