Market Overview.

Yesterday we saw the market drop over 8% in its first 8hrs of trading, the Bulls attempted a failed comeback before the market closed (GMT+1) at $80.772B losing about $3.6B a 4.3% loss. The market recorded a surge in trading volume a contrast to falling market cap indicating massive profit taking by investors, $4.834B worth of crypto exchanged hands an increase of 70% over previous day's trading.
A total of 812 cryptocurrencies, 161 Assets and 4,446 market pairs where traded. Bitcoin's market dominance rose to 47.9% of total market cap.

ETH had investors attention as the most traded currency at 33.06% of total market volume although mostly profit taking, a whopping 60% increase in USDT volume indicating hedging activity. On the top 10 board XRP moved up from No.6 spot to No.4 displacing ETC to No.5 and USDT to No.6. Our top 10 cryptos enjoyed investors attention with 91.7% of total volume traded an increase from previous day's 90%.

An analysis of the exchanges showed that the direction of investors funds moved mostly into fiat and hedging assets like BitCNY, USDT and BitUSD. ETH was most hit as seen above, most exchanges recorded large volumes in ETH/FIAT pairs with some as high as 70% of the exchange's volume.
