Mount Samalas

Before the eruption of Mount Tambora in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, in 1815, her neighbor, mount Samalas in Lombok, it turns out that the world community had made miserable.

Mount Samalas is perhaps not so well known than others. The reason, this mountain has now been destroyed by the Flash itself and turned into Mount Rinjani complete with Lake Segara Chicks on the island of Lombok.

Mount Samalas erupted violently in 1257. Erupsinya results in cooling of the weather suddenly. The flash point is rumored to eight times greater than the mount Tambora and Krakatoa.

Ashes resulting from an explosive is estimated to spread up to the two poles, the South and the North. Study of Oppenheimer in Lombok show as many as 40 cubic kilometers of rock and ash were ejected from the volcano.
