Working Principle
The steel pipe shot blasting and rust removal machine mainly ejects abrasives (such as steel sand, steel shot, steel wire segments, etc.) through a high-speed rotating impeller. These high-speed abrasives hit the surface of the steel pipe, thereby removing rust, scale and other impurities on the surface of the steel pipe. This method can efficiently clean the surface of the steel pipe and provide a clean surface for subsequent anti-corrosion treatment or processing procedures.
Equipment Structure
Shot blaster:
This is the core component of the equipment, usually including impellers, blades, directional sleeves, etc. The impeller rotates at high speed under the drive of the motor, driving the abrasive to eject. The shape and material design of the blades have an important influence on the ejection speed and distribution of the abrasive, while the directional sleeve is used to control the ejection direction of the abrasive.Conveying system:
used to transport steel pipes through the shot blasting chamber. For large-diameter steel pipes, the conveying system needs to have sufficient load-bearing capacity and stability. Roller conveying or chain conveying can be used to ensure that the steel pipe passes through the shot blasting area at a uniform speed and smoothly, so that all parts of the steel pipe surface can be evenly exposed to abrasive ejection.Dust removal system:
It consists of dust collector, fan and dust suction pipe. A large amount of dust will be generated during the steel pipe rust removal process. The dust removal system can collect and process the dust in time. On the one hand, it can reduce the pollution of dust to the environment, on the other hand, it can protect the health of operators, and also prevent dust from accumulating inside the equipment and affecting the normal operation of the equipment.
Equipment features
- Efficient rust removal:
Compared with traditional manual rust removal or chemical rust removal methods, steel pipe rust removal machine can process a large number of steel pipes in a short time, greatly improving the rust removal efficiency. For example, for a conventional steel pipe production line, a shot blasting rust removal machine can process dozens or even hundreds of steel pipes per hour.
High rust removal quality:
Since the strength and direction of abrasive projection can be controlled, the surface of the steel pipe can achieve a uniform rust removal effect, and the process parameters can be adjusted according to the material and surface rust degree of the steel pipe, so that the surface roughness of the steel pipe after rust removal meets the requirements of subsequent treatment, such as providing a good adhesion basis for anti-corrosion coating.High degree of automation:
Modern steel pipe shot blasting and rust removal machines are usually equipped with automatic control systems, which can realize automatic loading, automatic rust removal, automatic unloading and other operations, reducing manual intervention and labor intensity, while also improving the stability and reliability of the production process.
- Wide application range:
Steel pipe shot blasting machines are not only suitable for the rust removal of steel pipes, but also can be used for the surface treatment of various metal materials, such as steel plates, profiles, and welded parts. This versatility makes the machine a valuable asset in various industries, including shipbuilding, automotive manufacturing, steel construction, and more. With the ability to handle different sizes and shapes of steel pipes, the shot blasting machine can adapt to the diverse needs of different production lines.
- Cost-effective solution:
While the initial investment in a steel pipe shot blasting machine may be significant, the long-term benefits far outweigh the costs. The efficiency and quality of rust removal provided by the machine can significantly reduce the need for manual labor and chemical treatments, saving time and resources in the production process. Additionally, the extended lifespan of steel pipes treated with shot blasting can result in cost savings and increased productivity in the long run.
- Environmental protection:
By using abrasives to remove rust instead of chemicals, steel pipe shot blasting machines are a more environmentally friendly option for surface treatment. The dust removal system included in the machine ensures that harmful particles are collected and properly disposed of, minimizing pollution and protecting the health of workers. This commitment to environmental responsibility is becoming increasingly important in the manufacturing industry, making shot blasting machines a preferred choice for companies seeking sustainable solutions.
