Introduction - Nice to meet everyone, I'm Raquel

My name is Raquel from Philippines, but you can call me Kilay. My officemates would call me with that nickname because of my eyebrows. I’m often surrounded by a bunch of jokers. :) I am a single mom, multitasking hardworking woman. I love helping people particularly when it comes to health as it's my specialties being a compassionate nurse.

I’ve been learning about crypto currencies for the last year and very interested in sharing information with others in the community. I love thinking about how the application of the technology will improve the lives of people in my home country of Philippines. I also enjoy seeing real world application in different areas of health, sports, financial and entertainment.

I’m currently reading Master Bitcoin and enjoy learning about how blockchain works through different YouTube channels and Andreas Antonopoulos Patreon’s site. I’m not an expert, but my eyes light up with learning more each day. Every time I think I understand a topic, there’s always another article. I like to think of myself as a student for life.

I love how Steem brings different communities together from all parts of the world. I want to contribute and hope to make some new friends here.

Another passion of mine is travel. Everyday life of Filipinos living in a simple life. I want to impart to you the Filipino culture and values of close family ties, beautiful tourist attractions and famous food but not only in Philippines as well as other part of south-east Asia and shared my great experiences.

Many people have not yet travel outside their area. In today's new technology, people are able to feel the experiences of others in viewing and watching blogs. I wanted to use my page to inspire others through posting pictures and videos in my blogs. Hope it helped people learn other cultures even without travelling and got to experience to see the other side of the world.
