Introduction...Hello Steemit!

I was extremely happy, excited and scared when I heard about this website from one of my colleagues at work. Happy because finally I’ll have a new outlet of my thoughts, ideas, learnings and experiences. Excited to read your writings and scared as well as this will be my first blog. Truth be told, growing up, writing has never been my talent as I am poor in spelling and grammar. Nevertheless, please don’t get me wrong I love reading with all my heart and I guess these two are different and the same at some point.
I am fond of telling stories of my experiences and sharing jokes with my love ones. Well, let’s just say that I am more comfortable with talking. (talkative i must say...insert drum rolls)

Anyways, this is Eryl, 24 years of age, a God-fearing person (thanks to my parents) from the Philippines.
During my free time I watch movies and TV series and some of my favorites are The Bucket list, Forest Gump and How I met your mother. I am so much inlove with romantic comedy novels, Nicholas Sparks and Lisa Kleypas are some of my faves for this matter. Although, nowadays I am starting to like suspense thriller books kudos to Sidney Sheldon. I am also into music and my ultimate fave singer is Taylor Swift.
I am a person who always try to look at the brighter side, this may sounds so cliche but I am a firm believer of the saying “everything happens for a reason” and with this let me share with you a qoute from Jenny Han an author of one of the books I have read last summer.

Simple yet it struck me like a lightning bolt of Zeus. (Okay okay that was too much, maybe I was just carried away cause I am currently reading a greek mythology novel by Rick Riordan) I guess what I am trying to say is that, this one is very simple yet, powerful.
And, ofcourse may I not forget the mantra of my life, “worrrying won’t change anything” , so hakunamatata my friends.

Traveling=happiness for me, and I know for sure that some of you guys can relate (slow clap). I love sorrounding myself with nature and swimming in the ocean though the catch is I don’t know how to swim. That’s why I would like to take this opportunity to thanks the inventor of the life jacket, Captain Ward. (Thanks Google)

Lastly, I believe in equality (in all aspects), education and ofcourse love.
