Introductory Post

Everyone was asking me if i had heard of Steemit. I always lied and said, "yh i do". (They see me as a social media person. A guy has got to protect his rep. Lol).Actually all i knew about it was it was a new social media platform. Nothing else.
Then i saw a link that talked about the Steemit Ghana community meeting in Sunyani. I was surprised. It was like hearing that users of Facebook or Whatsapp or something were meeting. I found it laughable.
Until about two weeks or so ago when i was bored one afternoon and decided to check Steemit out. That was when i realised it was more than a platform for socialising online.
It brought online socialisation to life!

Steemit is different because it encourages real and true interactions among people. People are encouraged to make posts that influence and impact the community. Not just the usual blabber and insults that make people popular on other platforms. Over here, to be popular, you need to be an ideal role model, no hiding behind the internet to make rude remarks. And the plus is you happen to make money alongside too.
I dunno anybody in the Ghanaian community or the Steemit community yet. I intend making some true friends and having pure discussions on social media for once. I need a teacher here too lol. I dunno what i am about.
I am in Accra,Ghana. I like fufu and light soup with bush meat. They call me the ricemaster too cuz i eat rice everyday.
