Two Steps Forward, Ten Steps Behind
If you have been following us, you know we are Lifestyle Bloggers. Vin & I work with other Guest Bloggers on 6 Unique Niche Oriented Websites ranging from Barbecue to Music to Social Media & everything in between.
3 months ago, we had a choice. Sign up with Medium or give Steem It a try.
We opted for Steem It. For a few reasons. We saw it more as a Social Media Sharing site. Whereas, Medium seemed to be more for a Freelance writer, we thought we'd fit it better here.
So, you wanna know how its going?
Well. We approached Steem It as we approach our Business. As a Team. A Family. Community Oriented.
Perhaps, well, obviously, it was the wrong time to come into this. Or, maybe we were just wrong?
Firstly, we did find some great Tools for our Wordpress Websites. Like @SteemPress which helps us automate our Posts.
Three drawbacks (not their fault).
@steemcleaners : Seems to hate any Sponsor paid posts we put up, no matter how we phrase it.
Resource Limits: Since we can only post twice a day, this option really doesn't work for us as we now have to hand select what we want to Post here.
@SteemPress is a great option but you need to make sure not to have "Upvote yourself' checked as that seems to void out any type of earnings.
So, we have opted to uninstall @SteemPress
Secondly, we decided to Join @steemitbloggers. We entered the discord. Applied. Waited. Applied again. Waited some more. Asked again. No response. WTH?
Next, we gave @actnearn a try. Post on SM, log to prove & earn. Over & over. Done as instructed. Never got a dime. Only reply. "We didn't follow directions'.
Oh, we followed directions and we have 100,000 Twitter Followers.
NEXT!
We DO believe in Community, so we have been Freely advocating Steem It on our Blogs & Social Media channels.
On the plus side, @steemhunt and @steem.drive have been great to work with. Just using the hashtag #Steemdrive has brought more free Resteems & Upvotes than anything else we tried. Hunting for new products & receiving Airdrops is awesome.
Also great to work with @partiko and @esteem BSteem for mobile 
So, that's our 3 month Status Update.
