Hello Steemit

I'm not going to bore you with my life story, just how I ended up on steemit. A couple years back I came across an article about a new type of currency (bitcoin). I don't recall the article in detail; however it intrigue me enough to occupy my time with learning what it was all about (for a couple weeks). Bitcoins, blockchains, wallets, copycat coins, keys and addresses, that's what I learned. Done. Once I figured I had a grasp of the tech. I lost interest. There just didn't appear to be anything I would want to be apart of. Even so I wanted to keep track of bitcoin as I thought it had potential and would likely have a future story. So I downloaded a coinbase wallet and bought $10 worth of bitcoin (in the $300 price range). I would just let some time go by. This remained on my Iphone, but not on my mind until a couple years later when I came upon another article concerning bitcoin. The price was over $1000! It was time to take another look.

A lot has happened in the crypto world since last visited. There was a lot that I missed two years ago too. There is trading, investment and business opportunities. I'm seeing games that have real economies, gambling sites that allow you to be the house, crypto that helps science, increases privacy and more. It all appears to be in the beginning stages. Most appear to need more development in my opinion. Most will likely fail as newer and better ideas come online. It all feels like the beginning of the next internet age or personal computer age. I was there, I remember. We shall see!

So what does this have to do with my being here. It's part of my research and besides I enjoy writing (even if poorly done) . Yep, that's it.

As for steemit. In my opinion it will not succeed as it is currently. The model seems to be geared toward the wrong target audience. The model would be great for A.I. but for humans? If there is a way to game it we will. And we have. However, if the community remains faithful and great ideas are implemented, as they say in the crypto world. To the moon!
