Please, Allow Me To Introduce Myself............ Why I am Passionate About Education

I am passionate about working towards reforming the education sector of Bangladesh. All my life I have been driven by my strong belief that every child should have access to a high quality education. Education changes lives. I know that it changed mine. No child should be denied the transformative power of a great education. From my belief, I joined in a global movement to ensure quality education though I am a graduate from Pharmacy discipline. Bangladesh is a developing country. The number of illiterate people in Bangladesh is larger than entire populations of some European countries.

Avoiding a lucrative corporate air-conditioned office every morning I leave my apartment for going my work place where a bunch of underprivileged children waits for me in a school itself is a weather- beaten building whose walls haven’t seen a coat of paint in years without electricity. Plaster hangs in large cracked webs from ceiling, and not everyone has a pair of school shoes. The field is completely devoid of turf and has turned into a swamp, while a garbage dump and an uncovered septic tank lies right beside it. I can see the brighter future of my beloved country in their eyes.

Every day I am fighting for reducing achievement gap between high and low income background children. I accept this challenge because I strongly believe education is the most powerful weapon for changing the world.
