Well, here we go

Good day Steemit,

I am here today to introduce myself. This in itself is strange for me as I've always been one to allow my work to speak for me. I'm both intimidated and excited to be here, and after the time I've spent on this site it is definitely past due for me to take a swing at it myself. You all have done a great job of building a real community here, and all I really can hope is to be here to grow with you all.

First, and foremost, I'm a student. I've been a baker, a preschool teacher, a railroader, and salesman, but these things were meant for other people. I do not love baking. I do not love selling. I don't love trains, but must admit I REALLY like them. What I love is learning, and my German/Australian shepard, Maggie. She will be laying beside me while I type in her usual obsessed way.

She's a great doggo, believe me.

Now, I'm not a student of any official institution anymore, but to be frank, I learned very little about how to survive in this world within the confines of a classroom. The world we live in taught me a great deal in the first couple years of handling me, but even the initial introduction to real life was, in my humble opinion, a bit of a snooze. I learned all the rules, and played like a nice adult but one obvious truth stared me in the face silently until I opened my eyes. One day I realized that there are two very different sets of rules out there, and only one is set by society. One perspective out of seven billion, I can tell you that my experiences themselves are not unique, but my experience as a whole has been mine. I look forward to sharing it with you
