BUILDING NEW FUTURES (TOGETHER)
Hello folk's! How are you? Hope all good! :)
Well, I am new here at Steemit and would like to introduce myself first.
My name is Yuri, I am from Brasil more specific from São Paulo, now living at the magic island of Florianópolis, a marvelous place to live if you like nature and just the right amount of city in your life.
My goal here is to create, discovery and teach anything that could make the world a better place, sounds cliché, and indeed it is, but if everyone does its part, we wouldn't have to discuss this here, right?
Anyway, the point is, HOW TO MAKE A BETTER FUTURE FOR ALL?
But before we answer this or start doing something, my other question is, WHAT IS A BETTER FUTURE?
Maybe this better future would be somewhere where every single person could have the basic necessities to survive? Or maybe somewhere where there isn't so much diference between the conditions of life of this beings, what you suggest?
The second question here would be DO WE HAVE WHAT IS NEEDED TO CREATE THIS FUTURE?
Until some time ago we where only animals, walking around this Earth, trying to understand its richness and beauty, while we kept on the survival game, the rush and competition for reproduction and species survival, do whatever it takes to keep your descendants alive and healthy, otherwise discard them for not being capable. This was the true, and this in a certain way is true until the present days, but what now? We have invented technology that can keep us from doing dangerous, "not ok" and boring jobs as pleased, but we lost the significance of the being, why work when you can only have fun? Why suffer when you can live in happiness? Why do something when you can do nothing? Why do something at all? Why?
This is the dead-end where we, as thinkers, as creators, sometimes get, WHY I AM HERE?
The life looks like a great journey for those with power, with money, with luxury and sex, but we forget to see that this is the life they show us on TV and movies, but is this the real life? Or this is the life of some, that for some reason are payed to "enjoy life", while others watch and dream, while they are not "working" to pay this "happy guy's life of joy". Aren't we selling our lifetime so we can slightly enjoy just a tiny fraction of this "dream life"?
But in fact, WHAT IS A HAPPY LIFE?
We can have all sort of answers for this question, some would say money, time, kids, travel etc. What would you say?
For me as an explorer and a mind explorer, would be travel around the world and discover new cultures, other visions of life, other thoughts that would increment mine or sometimes even break it, and what limits me? Money? Time? All of this? Maybe fear? All of this questions get me to a point where I am looking at myself and I am stopped, choosing what to do next, trying to understand and foresee the best decision, but in fact there is none, this perfect scenario only exists in my mind, the future happens now, right where you choose. But then, WICH ONE IS THE BEST CHOICE?
For some would be the choice that leads to a better reward, but the better reward usually don't involve all of the participants, so it is a competition, the best player wins, the losers loose and maybe will never get a second chance, is this fair? Is fair to judge a fish for his tree climbing capacities? The world is not a fair place, in fact, the nature rewards the strongest, but WE ARE NOT THE NATURE, WE ARE HER SONS, we are the beings that can live in peace with his mother, or not, we have the power to choose, we have the FREE WILL, what we do with it is up to each one. That is why my point here is WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE? ARE TRYING TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE FOR ALL? OR FOR YOU?
This question too leads to a infinity of answers, and leads to an infinity of other questions as the time passes and our life changes, evolves, to new levels of questions and answers, this cycle will never end since the farther we look, the smaller we see, more questions will arrive, and it will keep on and on forever, until we discover the true meaning of life, that for me is LIVING.
I am very grateful for all the humans that helped me get here, most my family and friends, they are the meaning I am who I am now, and they truly influence in what I am, this happens with everyone, even when you think you are alone, you are not! We live in this world as a group, we can't just leave, and even thought we insist in living as split small groups that sometimes hate each other (for every sort of reason, food or water, sometimes wealthy and land), but are we noticing that all this fighting still leave us in the same state that we were, competition?
Maybe is time for us to stop competing and start simply LOOKING, when you are observing you can see things clearer, you will notice that we are all brothers, we came from the same Mother Earth, from which we never left, and probably never will, WE ARE HERE NOW, AND WE ARE ONE.
You can easily find a tree that have red and white flowers on the same branch, why do we think that we are different from each other? We all breath, we all eat, we all drink and we all HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS TO BE HAPPY, we just have to stop thinking that happiness is something that you can buy and will sometime finish, HAPPINESS IS FREE AND A RIGHT FOR ALL, we don't have to fight for it, we just have to notice that this grateful feeling come from inside and not from a golden box of something.
But for us to achieve this level of equality, we would need to give up on so many things that is even hard to see, but it is not. It can start with a simple question DO I REALLY NEED ALL THAT I HAVE? MAYBE SOMEONE NEEDS THIS MORE THAN I? WHAT DO I REALLY NEED?
Again infinite answers that leads to the same point, we need what our body, mind and spirit needs to survive, FOOD, RECOGNITION and LOVE.
Once you have this, you can start living a happy life, not one or two, but the three of them, and once you have a happy life, you will notice that you can't be fully happy if the others are sad, will be just an illusion. For us all to be happy, we have to be treated as equal, independent on where you were born, how you look, or how much currency you have, unless we can see each other as equals, we won't have a happy life, and for me, as I stated early here, there is no need for luxury, power or control, all we need is EMPATY AND CARE, so we feel happy and fulfilled, the ones with more can help more the ones who have less, and I am not saying to give money or food, but LOVE AND EDUCATION, once we all have the same knowledge and the same opportunities we can in fact work as one happy being, and ensure we will have happy humans in the future.
So for my conclusion I would like to ask all of you, thinkers, humans, beings:
HOW CAN ME MAKE THE EARTH A BETTER PLACE FOR ALL?
