Heya Steemit - I'm Franko
Greetings Steemians,
My name is Franko — currently based in Sydney Australia. I’ve been working in digital media for the past few years, with Discovery and Group Nine Media in San Francisco. You might find me riding my bike, listening to design podcasts, or reading on the past and future of human civilisations. I’m an internet kid at heart, so I feel right at home here.
I've been lurking for some time, learning about the platform, the community, and the products within the network. It's an interesting place, reminiscent of the early days of some of the bigger networks — those that have succeeded, and some that have since shuttered. Perhaps there’s more potential here for a competitor to Medium than to Facebook or Twitter... but in any case, should be an interesting journey.
I’m currently working with the emerging brand, Crypto Finder — a news and educational resource for the growing world of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency and everything tangential to the space. Finder, the umbrella company, is a well-established resource for researching and comparing products, better learning how to manage money, and being a savvy consumer.
On the cryptocurrency side of things, we’ve got some pretty interesting projects in development, and are always on the hunt for new partners and ideas. I’m currently keeping my finger on the pulse of Steemit & DTube to feel them out as potential platforms for distribution. I've noticed a few brands experimenting here, but it still seems pretty uncharted.
Are there any publishers on Steemit you've been following?
If you’ve got questions, ideas, or just want to chat - I’d be super into it.
You can find me on twitter and instagram too
🤘Franko

Wait... shouldn't that image be upside down?!
Yeap, that's what I thought... but then stake-selling economics kicked in... :P
right down my alley... Seems we share more than just 5 letters.
...
so then... welcome to steem... I hope I'll be seeing you around!

welcome to steemit my friend.my simple advice to you is, MORE CREATING, LESS VOTING,Yup you read right! A big misconception around Steemit is that you can just vote and make decent money on Steemit. This is true.........if you're a Steemit Whale (Steemit whales hold millions of Steem Power(SP) and get the most Steem Power and Steem Dollars for their votes. ) but for us newbies who have been on Steemit for a few weeks or less, this isn't so true.
Thanks for the tips, appreciate it! I definitely agree, the internet needs more original creative content.
Welcome to steemit @yungpeng! a pleasure to say hello. I wish you good luck on this interesting platform.
Thank you! It's an interesting platform indeed.
Welcome. How long did you wait to get your profile approved? I hope you find Steemit worth the wait. I have.
I am giving an up-vote for you

I made my account a while back - don't remember it being that long of a process, maybe a few hours?
Welcome mate. You should most certainly come on Discord and talk to all the other aussies, there are over 400 of us floating around.
There's any Aussie Discord for Steem users? Amazing. What's the link?
Steemit and Dtube is a new world and is part of the future and is growing. I loved biking in Vietnam and Oregon but haven't been to Australia yet. Thanks for sharing, hehe. I'm Oatmeal Joey Arnold. You can call me Joey.
Thanks Oatmeal Joey, definitely some good biking to be done here, I've only just begun exploring!
