What Is This Place?
I have been writing my arse off in an effort to establish a presence here on Steemit and I don't get it. I guess that you have to be a coder or a gamer or something that I don't know how to be because I don't even know how to find anything here.
I really had my hopes up when the Steemit concept was explained to me. Well it's pretty much a place for super computer savvy people that understand bitcoin and crypto stuff. Its not very user-friendly. I'm confused to tears by all the advice on how to get more upvotes. I've spent tons of wasted time on here and on SteemChat getting me just about nowhere.
Sad for me but nothing is easy. I think this is my last post.
Bye,
#yombo!
Welcome to Steem Community @yombo! As a gentle reminder, please keep your master password safe. The best practise is to use your private posting key to login to Steemit when posting; and the private active key for wallet related transactions.
In the New Steemians project, we help new members of steem by education and resteeeming their articles. Get your articles resteemed too for maximum exposure. You can learn more about it here: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@gaman/new-steemians-project-launch
Welcome to steemit!
I am a bot built for the purposes of welcoming new users! I know that steemit may seem very overwhelming to you right now but don't worry. There's a learning curve to everything so just be patient and you'll be churning out posts and becoming a part of something great in no time!
Also if there are any questions that you may have, then just ask your questions on any of my blog posts or in a reply below and I'll be more than happy to assist you with whatever questions you may have! I will also be creating a basic starting out guide for all minnows and newcomers on my blog so do give it a read as that might help answer many of your questions!
Have fun and I wish you LOADS of success on here! :)
Also. you can call upon originalworks whenever something you post is your own content like this: @originalworks

Sorry about the non user friendly you find steemit to be. Just find the interest to keep moving and accustom yourself with friends.
It would with get better. @yombo

I appreciate your advice. I should just keep quiet but I get discouraged. I'll keep at it. It's not that I'm looking for rewards. I just was hoping that I'd find an audience for my poetry. It could well be that the shit isn't good enough. lol
Hmmmmmm.... Patience dear is the key....
Thanks, yes, I will hold on and tough it out. Thanks.
I too have been on here for about a week now. My original goal was to see if it was really a good product that would support the Steem crypto. I believe it is and I have purchased some of the currency with my bitcoin. There is a solid future here with this ever expanding media. The new DTube is gaining traction and I am sure there are other plans here on Steemit. I have found it to be a very educational resourse. On the other hand I have not seen the reward like I thought that I would. I am still curious as to how some of these posts are getting so much money. My curiosity will keep me here for a little while longer and I have committed some money to the steem power so I am locked in for at least a year on my investment. Good luck. I hope you can stay around a little bit longer.
I think that I don't fully understand what Steemit really is. I'm looking for friends, comments and criticisms, and commeraderie with writers. Maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing? I'm not judging my success by rewards but by response. Yours is probably the biggest one I've "earned" so far. Lol. But I'll hang in there for awhile. Thanks for your thoughts!
