I'm amazed by the variety of communities here on Steemit. I like to play old school ? xbox360 games like Borderlands, Grand Theft Auto, and Minecraft with my Son, but we'll be looking for new games to play too. Just purchased a HDMI recorder that records onto a USB thumb or hard drive - for posting video game play. I'll be checking into #dlive for streaming game play, but my Internet connection Isn't always the quickest - we live Off-Grid.

Already found a gamer community here on Steemit called #gamersunited - a Group on the Discord. I'm looking forward to checking out their Video Game Skills :)

There will also be some Android Device Game Play with the FNAF series, Pocket Edition Minecraft, Survivalcraft, etc.

GIMP Graphics FNAF Mangling

So my Son came to me a few weekends ago and wanted to know how to used a computer graphics editor to cut out parts of his favorite Five Nights at Freddy's characters - arms, legs, heads, torsos - and re-assemble them into new or mangled animatronic characters. I said sure, let me clear a few hours so I can show you how to download images, use the GIMP graphics editor Lasso Selection tool for cutting out the parts, save the parts to a file, and then re-assemble the parts with resizing and rotation - into a new mangled character. After a collective half hour of showing him the basics, below is a couple of mangled graphic animatronics that he carved pieces out of and added the wires and piston looking robot parts - Nice.

So the next weekend he said he wanted me to help him with robotics and animatronics so he could make a animatronic character of his own. I said sure, just let me get the Spring garden planting done first, then this summer we'll have some fun with Animatronics.

Animatronic Mask Engineering

In the picture below you can see the animatronic mask and taped together straw hinge that my son made when I wasn't looking. He's careful with the cardboard cutting steak knives and scissors, and good with the packing tape.
