Vlada Mirkovic artist: introduction post

Hello, my name is Vlada Mirkovic ,I was born in 1954 in Gornji Milanovac, Serbia and educated in Milanovac and Belgrade. Since 1989, I have been living and working as a free-lance artist. My paintings (over seventy five works) can alredy be found in private collections all over the world: in Holland, France, Switzerland, Norway, USA, Germany, England, South Africa. I had solo shows in Belgrade 1994, Gornji Milanovac 1995, Geneva 1996, Belgrade 1998, Cacak 1999, Kragujevac 2002, Arandjelovac 2009…

" The painting of Vlada Mirkovic is formed on the language of symbols and symbolic correspondences. It has a developed logical - linguistic apparatus, it's own internal mechanisms of operation, its relationships, addressed messages and hidden laws. For years fixing a world of symbols, a type of symbols, Mirkovic not only created an enclosed, completed, parallel and separate reality, but the completeness and perfection of the mechanics of that reality point out the fact that, like Renaissance masters, he is dealing with one subject and painting one picture in variations, amplifications and redefinitions. In the chaos of quick changes, transposed poetics ,artistic abdications and negations, Mirkovic's iconic faith in the painting, his ability to surrender to it, to devote himself to it and to discover it in it's higher manifestation is imposing. That monastic, Robinsonian devotion has it's guarantee and meaning only in it's outcome, in the painting, in Mirkovic's universe, with it's foundations calmly resting on deep layers and meaning of symbols."

Exhibition ‘’Figuration Critique” Lion 2008 ( I participated with 1 painting : David Goldstein in his Library – 81x65 .
I also took part in new book project ‘’Imaginary Realism” 2008-2009. Book title Imaginaire I, edition Brusen &C.A.I.I.R/I.F.R. – Denmark (Images of paintings “Aleph”,195x162, and “Fallen ,or scream of the Buterfly” 195x162 were printed in the book)
