Introduce Yourself - Who Am I?!?

Hi Everyone, my name is Victor Gonzales and I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Sacramento, Ca. I guess a little bit about me is worth mentioning, seeing as you will hopefully start reading my material, and following along.

Every hero has an origin story right?! Well mine is really no different than most photographers that pursuing their career in photography! My father was a hobbyist when I was a child. And since he was in the military, we were exposed to a lot of different cultures and environments, and my dad would document our little adventures.

As I got older, I guess you could say I took after him in my affinity to document things around me. When I was a freshman in college I took a photography class. The funny thing about that though, is that I kind of assumed that they would give you a camera and you'd get to go around and take photos and all that stuff, like others did in high school. Man I was wrong! We had to supply our own, and me being the broke college kid, I didnt have one. My dad ended up letting me use his, and I have been shooting ever since.

About 5 years ago, I turned my hobby into a business. I have come a long way as well, learning everything I can about photography, my cameras, lighting and how to set up and compose an image. I cannot say how lucky I am to be able to get up everyday and do something I love. And so I reached a point where I want to be able to share, not only my images, but also my knowledge with anyone who is interested!

I will be posting images, tutorials, videos, and show you how I do everything! If there are any topics that you would like to learn in photography, please just ask and I will do my best to write a blog or make a video!
