Introduction: Gambling for living

Gambling for living, huh? Well that`s what I do.

I have always been gambling. In sixth grade I spent lots of time playing some weird variation of poker ("poker of idiots" as we called it) with my friends...in high school I found magic world of video poker. There werent any rules, of how old you had to be to gamble where I lived at that time, so most of my schooldays were spent in front of videopoker screen with my 12-year-old friend...I barely graduated. In university my first student loan went into slot machine in 13 hours...

That was my addicted gambler times. In 2002 I discovered texas holdem poker and got really obsessed with it. The games were incredibly soft at those times, I dedicated tons of hours to study the strategy and started to make money pretty much right from the start. Once I felt, how good it feels to be a profitable player, I never looked back to the -EV (negative expected value) games. Profitable gambling healed my gambling addiction.

So for the next 15 years I played poker for living. Never made it to the high-stakes, but made a decent living playing online poker and also traveled around the world playing major live tourneys like WSOP, Aussie Millions, EPT (mostly won ticket through online satellites). It was awesome time to make living from the game I loved!

A few years ago, when poker games got tougher and tougher, I started to look around and to my surprise found out, that there are many promotions running in the casino games and sports betting, where you can have an edge over casino/bookie. I deepdived into the subject, found several good casinos with profitable promotions for excisting costumers (I have never really liked "bonus whoring" in terms of jumping from casino to casino clearing deposit bonuses) and a relly good sports betting edge provider. So at this moment my main "job" is sports betting and close second is casino games. I still play some poker, but my main income has swiched to other games.

Oh yeah, at the beginning of this year I picked up a new gambling "hobby" and this is a really addictive one...the CRYPTOCURRENCIES! I have a good gut feeling, that soon enough this hobby will become my main "job". But this will be the subject of my next post.

Hope you will enjoy my channel of profitable gambling and cryptocurrencies!

Definitely an uncommon way of earning :D I guess Steemit can also be gambling as a minnow - "Will a Whale finde my posts?" Have fun here!

Thx mate! I do not have especially good understanding about Steemit`s dynamics yet, but at least in poker finding whales was a great thing :)

Here it is better if the whales (the ones with a lot of power) find you :P

Welcome to the Steemit platform. I love playing poker as well. Comparing poker to cryptocurrencies seem a bit unfair to the technology, don't you think? One is an activity that really have no impact on the human progress while the other can fundamentally change the way we bank and account for resources. That has to count for something.

Not really comparing poker to cryptocurrencies. Tbh I have a long way to go to get more knowledge about the crypto`s technology aspect, I am more familiar with the gambling aspect (many call it investing :)
