Steemit; Here I Am(dun dun, dun dun, duuun duuuuun)

I truly to this day cannot say the phrase "here I am" without hearing the musical score of the Scorpions hit song "Rock You Like a Hurricane" in my head. And so, when I was thinking of a way to present myself I just said Steemit: here I am, with all my flaws and fancies for you to take as you will. And naturally the song started playing in my head. But who am I?

Well, my name is Nick, I am 33 years old, and normally go by my video game aliases Vazriel or more recently Nickoshi(which is a combination of my name and my Akita's name Kiyoshi, someone who I'll get into later). I have a heavy tech background, have run my own business in the computer repair/custom build/networking/home theatre setup/remote support/etc industry. I love the concept and execution of true Decentralizaion when it comes to things like Finance, Governance, Social Media, etc. And truly have a passion for Blocklchain technology and especially Dapps, all types of Dapps but largely gaming dapps, coming from the era of selling SOJs on Ebay (you other Diablo 2 nerds will know what I'm talking about) Being able to truly own assets and items that you have worked for, and have the freedom to do with them what you will and not have everything related to that intelectual property owned by one entity that has the power to just shut down the game or change your assets at will is something I personally was soooooo ready for.

I was never the most popular kid in school, I had more girl friends(friends that were girls lol) than guy friends, and was usually the guy getting forever stuck in the friend zone with my droves of attractive women friends, because I am always been more empathetic/in touch with my emotions than most guys are, or are willing to admit. I too used to(sometimes still do on my really bad days) think of that as "something wrong with me". But that's mostly because I had a very "Man's man" for a Father who had a tendency to get pretty physically violent with me whenever I couldn't handle something, or showed tears, etc, he cheated on my Mom when I was ~10, which of course led to divorce, and took his favorite son, my older brother Vinny(which kinda sucked because we were close at the time being only 1.5 years apart) and left me to live with my Mom who was dealing with her own problems now and kinda spiralled into just working during the day and going out at night. Thank God the internet age was just blossoming into existance or I might have had even less social interaction in those formative years. But having my Dad dip out, my brother along with him, and my Mom just trying to cope in her own way, I started getting alot more alone time than I ever had, and became pretty introverted. Something to this day I still have a tendency to be, which is why it's taken me so long to pull the trigger on starting my content creation(I created this steemit account a year ago and never touched it again because at the time I felt I had nothing of value to offer, something which I now know is nonsense).

I have always had aspirations of authoring content, creating things for others to consume and maybe even get their own ideas from, spreading the knowledge of a good thing to others, I love the term "Pay It Forward" , and feel like everyone who gets involved in things like steemit should have to watch the movie by the same name first lol, or at the very least understand the term and the thinking behind it. So anyway, growing up on computers(that I built) as an introverted and sometimes "emo" teen through my formative years gave me a very jaded and cynical outlook on life, something I still have to catch myself not to falling into that type of thinking at times even today in my 30s. One thing that has really helped me has been my 2 Akitas , Kiyoshi and Keiko:

The Akita is not for first time dog owners, they will not mindlessly try to please you like other dogs will, and they require a certain amount of respect given, to get respect back. But if you put the time, the effort, the blood(literally) sweat and tears into this wonderful working breed, you will hav e a loyal packmate for life, an outstanding guard dog, and a wonderful new best friend who will act like it's christmas every time you walk through the door after some errands, etc.
What human, even relatives, or real life friends, are going to shower you with affection and act like they hadn't seen you for years after going out for a coffee and coming home? None, and honestly most of us wouldnt like that anyway. But it's different when it comes from your dogs, and I truly believe everyone could benefit from some companionship like that, that unconditional love.

There is alot more detail and media I could provide for those of you interested in dogs/akitas/my in depth experiences raising these 2 bearfaced doggies, but since this is my "Introducemyself" I will save that kind of stuff for my blog, which I would now like to talk about before ending this post.

Being so involved in the Dapp space(specifically EOS Dapps but trying and reviewing other blockchains as well) my blog will be covering the latest and greatest in the Dapp Gaming Space(tentatively calling it "Nicks Dapp Picks"and made some novice artwork to go along with it lol), what projects I find truly worth it, interesting promotions and events that you may have missed otherwise, and the general spreading of knowledge from the crypto/blockchain/dapp world that I feel people should know about. I am and always will be on a grand quest for knowledge, and my mission on this quest will be to spread what I find on my travels to all of you, with the overall goal being to network and improve both my life and the lives around me. If this sounds like something you would be interested in I have already written 2 articles so far on here, which I welcome you to check out. I will also write about Dogs sometimes, and my adventures with Kiyoshi and Keiko, for any of you dog lovers out there. I doubt anyone actually got this far on this post but if you did, I truly thank you for reading about me and my life, it took alot for me to put this type of post out here, I very much dislike talking about myself, and even less showing myself, but I am trying to fix that by facing it, and doing it. I look forward to learning more about steemit, how better to utilize the awesome technology it runs on(just got steemitconnect for instance, look forward to playing my first steem Dapp soon, thinking of the steemitmonsters game, and then giving it a review) so steem veterans, bear with me and feel free to comment me any beginners tips that werent included in the beginners guide or that I might have missed. I also vow as a content creator to ALWAYS post original content, because plagiarism is a serious pet peeve of mine, so you can always be sure what I post comes from ME, and only ME, I had someone ask me on one of my articles from yesterday if it was my original content, and I still don't know if it was because he thought it was good or because he had already seen someone copy/paste my article somewhere else, either way I thank people like that for looking out.
