Hails to you, fellow Steem users

I'm a Canadian born dude living out in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) of South Ontario, I've been with Steem for about a week now and I've finally decided to write myself an introduction for the community!

My name is Josh, I was born August 17th (Leo!) in '92. I'm 24 years old. At a young age I aligned myself to truth and wisdom-- breaking from the conventional norms of thought that saw little reason with me and therefore has become something that characterized me since the 4th grade. I never liked school and always did very poorly, and I've generally had brain fog and disinterest along the ride. I always knew there was something inherently wrong about the setting, though at that point every obstacle was in my way from finding out :P

I never looked up to any role models and always just concerned myself with my own individuality. I'm a pretty easy-going person and I generally get along with most people (in person) regardless of differences. I've been told I'm an all-in-one of "blunt, sarcastic and real"- which I think is a suitable descriptor. :P
My Meyers Briggs personality type is an ENFP (Campaigner) for what it's worth, and it certainly gives me a quite accurate account as far as Strength, Weaknesses and general outlook goes.

The first most obvious hobby of mine that I wear on my sleeve is that I love Heavy Metal, Black Metal, Death and Thrash Metal in particular. My interests delves into varying other genres of music but not quite as passionately!

Secondly, at one point in my life I wanted to find a new creative outlet. After being fired from McDonalds =,D ..on a whim I picked up an electric guitar and borrowed a friends amp at 19 and began teaching myself Guitar, which I've been working on over the past 5 years and a bit now and have been coming along with quite well. My cousin who I later found out shared my taste in music, had picked up drums perhaps a year prior and we ended up jamming together, so I would say I'm an aspiring musician at least as a hobby.

Thirdly, I really like mythical medieval settings that I've delved into through many Role-playing Games, and Fantasy RPG's. Works as such in the vein of Lord of the Rings, Conan the Barbarian, Zelda, World of Warcraft, the Witcher, so on and so forth. At a young age my Uncle introduced me to some classic titles on the older consoles. Thus I became an avid gamer from very early in life despite a growing lacking ambition over the past year or two. However it's been through online gaming and interaction wit players that I really improved my writing and discovered a more developed interest.

I've been through a few rough patches over the last year and I've been trying to improve my situation, improve my general health habits, and improve my state of mind. I've realized it's time to put some things in the past to rest and strive for a greater future and though I have to work at my own pace. I am certain to get there =]

My background-
I come from a Portuguese background on both sides of the family. Both are from two individual beautiful Portuguese islands in the subtropics, Madeira on my fathers side, the Azores on my mothers. I've been to both islands as a child but only the Azores I've been back to since, when I was 18. Hoping to get a chance to experience life in Madeira in the not so distant future.

And one day I hope to visit much more of Europe! Greece, Germany, Spain, Italy, Norway, Portugal and more!

When it comes to the sciences and related matters, I've always looked to alternative sources of research. I do not know everything, but I certainly like to keep my conclusions up in the air as far keeping my opinions grounded in honest thoughts go.

In recent years I've studied into various conspiracies and secret societies. I've researched Occult philosophy and its veiled knowledge. So although I've become quite the mystic, I keep my intuition close.

You may find me writing on topics spreading awareness of truth, trying to open minds offering new insights as I love to do. I'm also hoping that Steem goes a long way, and continues picking up traction.
