THE ARRIVAL OF A PEARL; My Introductory Post...

Hi lovely steemians,

My name is Uduak Andrew-Bassey popularly known as Pearlz. I hail from Akwa Ibom State, the land of Promise but based in Oyo State, the pace setter state. I am the first daughter (called "Adiaha" in my dialect) of four children two boys and two girls (balanced equation...lol).

My amazing parents, Mr Andrew and Mrs Uduak Bassey ensure to support their children to attain any level and height of success, career and education of their desire; thus I'm presently a masters degree student of Public Health, specialising in Reproductive and Family Health in the premier university, University of Ibadan. However, I have BSc degree in Biochemistry from the same university.

Notwithstanding the difficulties of "cramming pathways" as a biochemistry student my friends and I were able to squeeze out time for fun. Amongst the memorable time was our visit to Takwa bay in Lagos; sure, the memories still lingers.

I enjoy being active by participating in sporting activities, majorly volleyball and handball. I also love to explore new fields. I don't believe in the word "IMPOSSIBLE" because the word means "I'm Possible". Amongst my moments of exploration, I learnt bead making, bag making, hairdressing, makeup artistry and wig making (don't call me a Jack of all trades ...lol); perhaps I detest idleness.

I am an entrepreneur, the CEO of Pearls Beauty World. We specialize in makeup artistry and wig making.I am also a reproductive and family health specialist with the passion to sensitize the public about their reproductive and sexual health thus developed my interest in writing.
