#introduceyourself - Hello, I'm Trent!
Hello everybody, my name is Trent and this is my #introduceyourself post!
I was suggested to join Steemit by my mother, who is fairly new at this herself, because I have been an avid writer for a little over 4 years now. I have dozens of hobbies and a majority of them I wish to feature or talk about in future blog posts.
My two current favorite hobbies are writing fiction/fantasy stories and creating videos for YouTube. I am on YouTube under Trent_Y and recently reached 100 subscribers, I mainly upload things that interest me as I don't want to be chained down and restricted to a certain category, so I create what I want, when I want! I most likely will have the same mentality with Steemit.

At the moment, my main content has been 'Who is Trent_Y?', a series where I talk about me and my life if people want to know about it. 'Amazing Online Artists', in which I talk about some artists that create their music purely online and deserve more recognition for their work. And lastly 'Trent plays', which is basically my type of a Let's Play but I only play a certain game for one big highlight video.
My other hobby, writing, has been an ongoing thing since early 2014. I gained much inspiration from my favorite games, my favorite books and TV shows/anime, so much so I decided to make my own stories. My main project is a fantasy series titled 'The Protector', which has gone through so much change and development since it's creation in 2015. I really want to get volumes 1 and 2 finished and self-published this year.
Not to take up much more of your time, but I will mention my other interests/hobbies very quickly just so you know some of what to expect in future blog posts: I love music, I enjoy wrestling, I watch anime, I read manga and light novels, I play a bunch of games (mainly my favorites: Skyrim, Tekken, Gears of War, Pokémon etc.), I dabble in graphic design (and have created album covers for some online artists), I want to try and create music, I suck at but enjoy drawing, I love making people laugh (I love watching stand-up comedy and it's influenced a lot of my skits on YouTube) and I love to travel!

Hey Trent! Welcome to Steemit. There are a number of awesome writing contents you should look into if you're a writer. @moneyinfant puts out a post every day with new writing contests on Steemit, as well as a complete list. You should check his blog out. Also, entering contests is a great way to earn some SBD, and all us newbs can use some of that. ;-)

Hello, I'm Oatmeal Joey, and you are cool and Skyrim seems interesting and I probably should play it. I don't know a lot about it but was impressed with the visuals and maybe with the story as well. I'm big into the story of Metal Gear and I am a fan of Mario and Sonic. Yeah, Pokemon is fun too. I'm mostly a Nintendo guy.
Hey there mate! I've poured countless hours into Skyrim since 2012, it is very, very good! I can enjoy Mario and Sonic, but I only ever got really into Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, amazing hack and slash game!
Metal Gear Rising is pretty cool as it focuses on Raiden who worked with Solid Snake in the previous games. It is pretty cool as Raiden is more of a ninja than Snake is. In at least one game, I think Raiden had to fight a juiced up President man. The story plot in the Rising series is more simple but the game play might be faster and more action packed.
One cool scary game I played was Dead Space.
